Well here I am, where to begin?
This is a song I wrote in August, 2024 at age 16. I wrote it within about 24 hours (I got inspired) and finally recorded it in late October. In the words of Anne Shirley, “I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers,” because this time of year is so beautiful! It’s worth writing a song about.
I hope you like it!
Lyrics:
I wonder why, when autumn leaves fall
Though they die, it's still beautiful
Reminiscent of truth I used to know
But now those memories go
You tried to find the words to say
I knew what you meant anyway
It was written on your face
A look my mind just can't erase
Blow on the embers and they grow bright
Glow different colours and shades of light
Orange and purple flames of fire
Blue, gold, and auburn
And ashes go higher
Higher
Look up, deep blue October sky
I try to think of a reply
But questions like these make me shy
And honestly, I don't know why
This is one of the songs I plan to release in an upcoming album. I’m happy to be able to share songs here, and I plan to post more soon. Subcribing on Substack is the best way to follow my music. Thanks for listening!
