This is a song I wrote recently, and it’s about enjoying life and having fun. People who squeal with joy when you see 10% chance of snow on the weather app, I feel ya.
There’s a girl in the window Looking out at the snow And the light frames around her In a warm, yellow glow Come out with me The best fun is free It’s dark all around But there’s snow on the ground Come play with me! Race you down to the mailbox! Nevermind, you’re too slow. Ok fine, prove me wrong then. On your mark, get set, go! You can’t catch me! I was born to be free There’s snow all around And we fall to the ground And we’re happy Just like gingerbread houses On our street in a row Our neighbors are crazy To waste all of their snow When I’m forty-three, You’ll never catch me Lazing around when there’s snow on the ground Just wait and see!
This was inspired by a night when my sister and I went out in the snow by ourselves and just had fun. In the rare occasion that it snows, I’m almost always the first one out, before the snow gets messed up by all my siblings’ footprints. And snow at night is truly wonderful.
So, next time it snows, enjoy it.
I dare you.
I plan to post more songs soon, you can subscribe to hear them. Thanks!
